PC freezes when trying to close Steam

When I have finished my gaming on Steam games I try to close Steam but my PC freezes completely and I can't even turn off my PC unless I use the power button. I tried to use Task Manager but the only thing I can see is System Interrupts at 100%. If I try to click anything it is unresponsive until I force shutdown.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

They are responsible for supporting their platform. Their engineering team are the ones who can analyze your crash logs, and have access to the source code to fix the problem

I contacted Steam and for the last 3 months I have tried everything from reinstalling both Steam and Windows 11 and sending the crash files but they say the problem is with Windows

yes, everything is updated im sure of it.

the only time anything ever freezes on my pc is when flight simulator freezes in which it freezes steam, task manager and discord.

That's really odd.

Please try using the old PC and open the game. Then try waiting couple minutes once you're inside it

After that fully close the game and if the game is using the steam cloud option to save the progress. Double check that everything is uploaded there.

Then unlink temporarily both Steam and Microsoft account and link the accounts again after a couple minutes.

Finally sign out from your Steam account on the new PC, sign in and give it a new try
