    Greetings everyone,

    I'm currently having issues with downloading any games from my Xbox Game Pass, this is quite unusual since two weeks ago everything was working perfectly. I keep receiving the error code 0x87e00017 and despite doing various troubleshooting methods the problem still persists.

    I have tried the following:

    1. Unlinking and removing any devices linked to my Microsoft account
    2. Changing my email password
    3. Signing out then back in both from Microsoft Store and Xbox Game Pass applications
    4. Re-installing Xbox app
    5. Repairing and Resetting the Xbox & Game Services applications
    6. Ensuring that I have sufficient disk space (100GB+)
    7. Checking if my PC clock is synchronized correctly
    8. Ensuring that the Xbox Identity Provider is installed
    9. Updating all my windows drivers (via the windows media creation tool & Windows Update in settings)
    10. Running first the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth then sfc /scannow to see if there are any system issues
    11. Running the get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers command then re-installing Gaming services
    12. Deleting Both GamingServices And GamingServicesNet in my registry then re-installing them
    13. In services enabling all Xbox related services (including gaming, windows update, Microsoft install service) and setting them to automatic
    14. Following all the steps mention here in windows report (apart from installing the "restoro" fishy software)
    The last remaining solution I haven't tried so far is doing a clean PC install, I wish to avoid this option since I have numerous different software I use on a day to day basis and re-installing everything would be extremely time-consuming.

    If anyone might have any other possible solutions please do not hesitate to post them here. That being said I do hope some of these solutions might help someone out there. Thanks in advance!

    Great news after numerous attempts I managed to finally fix it!

    - Solution -

    I completely forgot that I had Spybot Anti-Beacon installed on my system, so obviously, this was blocking some of the telemetry data which was needed for downloading games on Xbox Game Pass. Just had to revert everything and now my games are perfectly downloading once again (though I found it quite strange that about 2 weeks ago I didn't face this issue).

    That being said, I would like to give a big thank you to Samy for your time and assistance. Lastly, I do hope that some of these solutions might shed a light to those who are having similar issues.

    PS: If you could reply and mention this solution I can mark it as problem solved so like this people can immediately find the solution. Thanks!

    Just to be clear about one thing. Have you tried to delete the files from the folder I mentioned on the hard drives where you want to install the games? Can't install any games on both hard drives or just one hard drive?

    I don't think it would be a good idea to rename the folders if you have other apps installed, it could bug the apps.

    Got it. See if it helps you.

    1. Right-click on the Windows icon.

    2. Select Command Prompt (Admin).

    3. In the User Account Control pop-up window, confirm your choice.

    4. In the new window, enter the following commands, pressing Enter after each:

    ipconfig/flushdns

    ipconfig/registerdns

    ipconfig/release

    ipconfig/renew

    netsh winsock reset

    After running the commands, restart your PC and try again.
