PC drivers for XB1 controllers rolling out today

Is anyone having trouble getting this to work? I download the driver and plug in and it says that it is an unrecognized device. I can't seem to get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

Worked fine for me. Downloaded, installed, restarted, plugged in control pad, played Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Flawless installation.

 

I have a 64bit Windows 7 pc but don't know which driver link to click on. Does it matter if I download both? Please help.

 

You only need the x64 drivers. x86 is for 32bit.

 

Uh-oh! I downloaded both. I'll have to see if I can find the 86x download and delete it.

 

just been using my day one controller to play halo 2

 

I was looking at getting Halo 2 but I only see it for Windows Vista. That probally wouldn't work on my Windows 7 pc.

 

Tested mine today and it's working perfectly. At first I thought Skyrim wasn't working with the One controller. The reason why it wasn't was because my wired Xbox 360 controller was still plugged in. As soon as I removed the 360 controller, the Xbox One
pad started working. Driver install went fine and all of the games I've tried that support the Xbox 360 controller support One pad so far.

[/quote]H2V will work on windows 7 and windows 8 however I really recommend you don't pick it up at this time. Not only is it a really horrible port but GFWL will be shutting down shortly and you wont be able to play it online (Games already dead anyways
on PC). IMO just wait it out because
Phil Spencer recently tweeted that they want to bring more games to PC and there's speculation that a Halo collection is going to end up being released w/ Steamworks support since Halo 1 2 and 3 are in the SteamDB and have official groups on Steam. I wouldn't
really call his tweet a bluff either seeing as Dead Rising 3 (Which was stated that it would never leave the X1) is releasing on PC sometime this summer.

Steam single handedly brought PC gaming back from near extinction. They are the reason the industry is even acknowledging PC gaming. Sounds like from an above post you cant use a 360 controller and an X1 controller at the same time? That blows. Anyone tried
two X1 controllers?

 

I think the problem with the Xbox One controller and the 360 controller on at the same time only applies to Skyrim. The other games I tested had both controllers connected without problems.

I will test it again later when I get chance, see if I can get a two player game working with the different Xbox controllers, see if it works. I will post back the results.

 

Right, I've tested two games with local multiplayer. Both controllers work fine side by side. I tried Sonic All Stars Racing as a Split screen race, works great. I also tried the PC version of FIFA 13. FIFA worked fine too with both controllers appear
to work fine side by side as I tried a local two player soccer match.

I'm pretty certain that two Xbox One controllers would have no issues on a PC either.

Skyrim must just choose the first controller it sees. It no major problem there then, its only a single player game anyway.

Yes you can use a 360 and an Xbox One controller at the same time. Had them both plugged in at the same time while playing Watchdogs on PC.
