    Hello!

    I was trying to install a game (Forza 5) on Game Pass for Windows 10 and it kept disappearing and reappearing from my games list. After it had prepared space for the game I restarted my computer for a Windows Update. Now that prepared space is still being take up but not recognized as the space for the game. I am unable to install the game because I don't have enough room with that space reserved and I am unable to free up the space because WindowsApps is protected. Please let me know how best to rectify this situation.

    Update: I ended up having to access my WindowsApps/MSIXVC folder (within Program Files) and manually deleting the virtual image file (3D263E92-93CD-4F9B-90C7-5438150CECBF.*).

    Now if only I had written down each folder's original owner...

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. Given the problem you are having, I suggest you try the solution below, please.

    1. Go into the Microsoft Store and search Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.

    2. Next you want to click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and you want to click Install from the Xbox app.

    3. This will take you to the Xbox app and when it takes you to the Forza game scroll down and look at the tab named "Included in this bundle" And click Forza Horizon 5.

    4. This should take you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 game rather than the Standard Edition, And then you want to click install and this should download the game.

    - If that works, the download will probably pick up where it left off.

    If you want to remove the files, you will need to access the WindowsApps folder and find the folder named Microsoft.624F8B84B80_3.410.860.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

    The folder name may be different for you, as they are encrypted files, the folder has 101 GB so you will find it arriving at the properties if the name is different.

    To access the WindowsApps folder you will need some privileges and they are granted following the instructions in the article below.

    @MateusFontana thank you for the quick reply! Unfortunately the Microsoft Store redirects me back to the Xbox app where I am unable to install the game. I believe I will have to try this route stripping permissions as much as I had not wanted to. Thanks for your help!

    Error 0x80070780

    Having the same issue. Attempting to install games with the new Xbox Game Pass for PC (notably Metro Exodus and Wolfenstein II) will result in an error (0x80070780). I have no idea what to do. It's very frustrating
    as I only signed up for game pass to play Metro, and I am currently unable to do so.
