Paypal added but still can't purchase anything

Discus and support Paypal added but still can't purchase anything in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Added Paypal to my account without any problems, until I try to buy something.     Paypal added but still can't purchase anything


    Added Paypal to my account without any problems, until I try to buy something. Don't get an error code but I get a message :

    "There's a problem with your account. To fix the problem go to
    https://account.live.com    . Alternatively, choose a different payment method"

    I have went to the link and still can't get it sorted. Can anyone help?

    What type of payment method are you trying to add? Paypal

    What error code or message are you receiving? See above

    What region is your account set to? Ireland (won't let me change it)

    What region do you physically connect from? UK

    What region is your payment method's billing address in? UK

    can't purchase xbox live with paypal!

    I have added a paypal account to my xbox live, but still cannot purchase anything! What's the point offering PayPal as a payment option, when u cannot use it! Completely and utterly FRUSTRATED!

    Can't purchase MS Point via PayPal

    I also added my PayPal account to renew x-box live... it doesn't work... I hope this will be fixed! or someone from mircosoft can help to resolve the problem! Why add PayPal as a payment option, when you can't purchase anything!!!! Frustrating, to say the
    least!!!!!

    The issue is more than likely region related. Because your account is set to Ireland but your physical and payment billing address are set to UK you will not be able to use the payment method to purchase items. Payment address must match your account locale.

    Change your region to the UK and you should be able to use paypal to purchase items.

    If you cannot change your region then check this
    link     for more info to make sure that you meet all requirements. If, after reading the page you do meet the requirements for changing regions
    contact phone support and they can assist you further with the change.

    Cannot use Paypal bank account to purchase

    I actually tried adding my Paypal Mastercard to force the purchase of one game, but then MS gave the same error message (80167611) on the 2nd game I tried to purchase. I bought the 2nd game by adding a Visa linked to my actual bank account. So far I've used
    my Paypal bank account, Paypal Mastercard, and a different banks' Visa to purchase. Ridiculous. If I can't use the Visa the next time I wanna purchase, I am going to flip a major flip!
