PayPal account messing with me (Sorry if in wrong place)

My friend recently gave me his xbox360 account due to him moving to Playstation (Sigh..) Now i've been having a problem i ran out of xbox live recently on it and everytime i try and sign into xboxlive so i can private chat my friends it ALWAYS tells me and
this is exactly what it says.

"Your membership is suspended until you update your payment option, We'll charge your payment option and reactivate your membership after you update your account, but there may be some delay. to see your account info, visit
www.xbox.com/account"

Now i know exactly what you guys are saying, "go to the link at the end" i have and it need me to sign in the email required which is this account BUT the paypal account connected to this email has a forgotten password and my friend doesn't know the password
and can't recover it due to not knowing the info egt egt... all i want to do is get rid of Paypal of this account and it wont delete of the account cause i need to log into the email like i said earlier.

I know you're probably saying make a new account but alot of games on this account that i love playing has so much progress which has taken me weeks on weeks of effort and i rather not start again cause it's so grindy. i would love if someone could help
me out

No option to add PayPal

I'm in Australia and I have linked my paypal account to my Gamertag...and it is an Australian paypal account and an Australian Gamertag.....maybe you are looking in the wrong place?

 

Question regarding multiple consoles and game sharing.

Ok so it wont mess up my brother in law at all? All games are bought using my paypal account so techincally i own every game.

Aslong as it dont mess up our game share then i think im going to go pick up the fallout 4 1tb console.

If i buy microsoft points and added it to the account then get xbox live like that would that resolve the problem.

 

I recommend you do not use his account further as that is a violation of the Terms of Use/Code of Conduct. You're not allowed to share or give your account away. You'll need to make a new one. The issue you're having is because Microsoft attempted to charge
the automatic renewal (whichever it's set to) off the payment method. Since Microsoft was unable to collect payment, the account is suspended with an outstanding balance.

Again, I recommend you create your own Xbox LIVE account.
