    I purchased a new XBox One last night, and in the process of setting it up for the first time, was asked if I would like to purchase and set up Gold for my account. I had a subscription on my 360 a few years ago, and wanted to renew it for the One, so I
    started the process. It had be update all my payment, address and phone number to be current, then attempted to submit payment for the 12 month Gold service.

    The application hung for about 2 minutes, then alerted me that it had failed, and I should try again. I did, and after another two minutes for the same message. I assumed their or my network was being weird, so I just canceled for the time being and went
    on to finish the initial setup.

    About a minute later my phone buzzed, alerting me to new emails. I had four new emails, two from my CC alerted me to payments processed and two from Microsoft letting me know I was enrolled in XBox Gold. I logged out of the XBox and back in, and the dashboard
    setting told me I had no Gold account. I logged into my xbox.com/accounts page, and there it shows two payments made on my CC for Gold, but on the subscriptions page it shows no active subscriptions. Another few minutes later I received another email from
    Miscrosoft telling me my account had been canceled. (Only one of these emails.)

    Both payments for Gold are still on my CC, and there are still notices for payments for Gold on my accounts page, but my account still does not have Gold active.

    I am getting in touch my CC to cancel the charges since they did not actually serve to get my account set to Gold, but I wanted to know from this end what I needed to do to get Gold actually set up for my account?

    Adding my partners Xbox 360 Username to the Xbox One

    If you are gold just add her account to the Xbox one using the 360 details then go to settings and add her id into family it will then grant her ID the same Gold status you have at no extra cost, All Family members on the console get the same gold status as the main ID

    How long does it usually take for a payment to be processed for an account in arrears. I want to get back on to xbox live but the payment isn't being processed quick enough, thanks

    Sorry to hear you've had these problems getting your membership set up. Give phone support a call and let them know what happened. They should be able to help set up the membership for you and may be able to give you a refund on the second charge as well.

    Sorry, it is not possible to get a gold membership with microsoft points. You will need to add a payment method to your account and use that payment method to upgrade to gold status. Payment methods can be added here: commerce.microsoft.com

    Hi, ok i've tried the power cycle and no change.

    Can you clarify what you mean by "try and remove and read the profile to the Xbox"?

    Son's account with gold is set as home.

    Before I try this step, might the fact that my son is under 13 have an effect on this process. When I look at the subscriptions, subscribed under the live gold billing dates & payment method is a small ! in a triangle
    under the payment method. What problem is this indicating?

    Do I need to swap the live gold subscription to my account and gamer tag and then set the xbox home to me?

    The account accepted your payment option, but it doesn't know that you want to use it for your suspended Gold subscription. Trying accessing Account Management on your console. Under "Your Memberships", select "Xbox LIVE Gold". Then choose "Change Payment
    Option". Select your good credit card, and that should fix it. Expect it to process the declined payment right away, and that should lift the suspension.
