    Ok when I have over 15 USD on my account in live currency and I try to buy BO1 on xbox one and get you cant buy that on xbox one error even though its backwards compatible is a plain stupid. Then I try to buy online on xbox.com and it says I need to add
    a credit card or payment option when I have over the required 9.99 is pure bs. MS doesn't need my CC info due to their mess ups before. So I go and add more MS points through another code and still wont let me purchase. Until I add my paypal for a one time
    purchase will it let me pay. Then it takes the full sum out of my paypal without using the money already on my live account. So now I'm stuck with 15 bucks ill never use on my account because your shopping cart will never let me use it to buy anything.
    I cant get a refund because it was through a code and I cant gift it to someone so you basically stole 15 bucks from me and let it sit in front of me in a purchasing option I cant use. Seriously theft no matter how you look at it. MS is a joke and a thief
    but I like xbox games and they bend me over for it.

    lol what is this a joke? I just tried downloading Dead Rising 2 and it want's me to change my payment options. It says FREE but it still wants a credit card on file lol.. What a joke.

    How to Manage your Xbox LIVE payment options

    Overview

    You can choose to use more than one payment method for your Xbox LIVE account. The payment options include credit cards and PayPal accounts. You can use these payment options to buy items from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

    The 2-year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract uses only credit cards as the payment option. The other payment options like Debit Cards, Prepaid cards and PayPal are not valid for this subscription. However, you can change your payment to another credit card.

    If it is before the end of the two years and there is no credit card associated with your account, it is assumed you have terminated the subscription, and you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and any applicable taxes.

    It is easy to edit your payment options on your console or at Xbox.com

    Steps to Follow

    Add or change a payment option using your console

    1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to Sign in.

    2) Proceed to Settings and then select Account.

    3) Select Manage Payment Options, and then choose either of the following:
    • If you want to add a new credit card, select Add Credit Card.
    • If you want to use your PayPal account on Xbox LIVE, select Add PayPal. You will be required to enter your PayPal username and password. Follow the instructions to add PayPal as a payment option. You cannot use PayPal as a payment option for the 2 year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract. PayPal is not available in all regions.
    4) After making changes to payment options, select Update Payment Option.

    Add or Change a payment option on Xbox.com

    1) Go to My Account.

    2) Select Payments and Billings and click on Manage Payment Options.

    3) You may be required to Sign in using your Microsoft account (email and password).

    4) Proceed to do either of the following:

    If you want to edit a payment option, select Edit.

    If you want to add a payment option, you can do either of the following:
    • Click on Add New Credit Card and enter the credit card information
    • Click on PAY with PayPal and follow the instructions.

    You don't need to add a creditcard, just billing information, home address etc...

    Actually for 360 content you do need a credit card/Paypal on file in order to purchase the content on either the website or the One because neither of those stores recognize currency in your Microsoft account balance as a valid payment method. You can still
    use the $15 on content for the One without having to add another payment method.

    To simplify it. Both xbox 360 and xbox one marketplace are still both different platform. For xbox one contents. You could actually use your locale currency to purchase both on console and online on the web(tried and tested so please, don't tell me its not
    possible). But for the 360 contents. You can only use your locale currency through the console. If you wish to purchase online, you need to use either your credit card or paypal account. Its been like that for years even way back Microsoft Points so there's

    Hi, don't worry I already did all. I used the expression "the last joke after the damage" because after many years of xbox live gold with an original console, never modded, never, my console was banned and so I wanted become silver member and I discovered

    For billing issues, I find it easier to contact support on the phone when online options don't seem to be working.
