Payment option not possible with wrong settings language and country

I live in the Netherlands and want to have my xbox language settings in english but then I also have to pick the United Kingdom or the United States. Wanting to add a payment option is not possible because then you need to live in the UK or the US. Then
I thought maybe it would be possible if I put my settings first to Dutch.

I rebooted my xbox and suddenly my paypal account was already linked, having it linked before. So you can only asd a payment option when in your own country...

I think this should be changed because I could NOT pick the Netherlands as my country and have the language in English but can only pick from dutch.

And the one thing I hate is the *** translations from English to Dutch. For example Halo's gamemode oddbal would be in dutch vreemdbal (weirdball in English)

Could this be updated please because now I would have to reboot my xbox everytime I want to pay and have my settings in English again.

    :)

If you cannot even choose your country when trying to add payment and billing information your Xbox may be not set up to the country you are living in. So change the language /locale settings to the correct country and try again please.

    Language settings and country!

    Hi Fantungen..

I'm from norway to, what I found that Works for me until MS sorts this nonsense out is that I buy stuff for my Xbox 'one via the Xbox One smartglass app.. the Smartglass app has the norvegian region set, and I found that I can buy DLC frm the app and have
it automaticly downolad/install on my XB One that is set to US/English without messing about With the counrty/region setting on the console itself..I buy my games on disc, so I havent tried tu buy a whole game on digital download, but I'd be suprised if that
    is any different...

I see no good reason to regionlock Languages.. I can handle the store in Norwegian, but I like my menues and games in English!

Not the Perfect solution to the issue but better than swapping the consoles locale around while we wait for a better solution..

Payment option not possible with wrong settings language and country

I second this. I just want the option to select the language I want my games and dashboard to be in without having to change my region to something I'm not even from.

I live in the Netherlands too, and I must say that out Dutch language kind of takes away the badassery of the English language and it genuinely bothers me that games like Halo are in Dutch by default.

I frequently use the XBL Marketplace so I can't set my region to UK or US because then my payment options won't be available.

Sorry to hear you guys are upset. However, payment options must be for the same region that your gamertag is set to. Also, having a gamertag set to a different region does not guarantee that you can purchase and download content from it either. Some content
cannot be downloaded to a region that it was not originally intended for due to governmental and IP restrictions.

As for the language, you should post a request for multiple languages in your region at the Xbox Feedback forums.

Which country is your gamertag set for? If there is no option to change the language to your local language then that suggests that your gamertag is set for a different country than you live in.

    Unable to purchase Xbox games

    Hi there,

please be sure to check if your account, payment options and console (Xbox One) are all set to the same region.

The payment options can be checked at http://account.microsoft.com it will show the country for which they are on the website

To verify to which country your account is connected please check this link: https://live.xbox.com/Account/BillingAccountInformation it will show the country in the second colum. In case
this is wrong then your account needs to be migrated to the correct country, see this link for requirements etc: https://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/update-microsoft-account-country-region

The console region can be set via Settings - Language & Location.

If all match then you should be able to purchase 360 content. Also if you try to purchase the content via the website, then make sure the country in bottom left corner matches your region.

    Let us know the results
