    Payment Option Error (PBR40441)


    I keep getting PBR40441 error when I try to subscript to Xbox Live Gold free trial.
    I have tried changing he payment option to credit card then to Paypal, all to no avail.

    The latest one I get is:
    PBR40441

    Xbox Music Trial - different payment option

    Hi, I am trying to start the Xbox Music one month free trial and after selecting a payment method I am prompted with an error and unable to proceed. The error is:

    Try a different payment option

    This payment option is used on as many accounts as it's allowed to be. Remove it from those accounts and try again, or add a different payment option.

    Payment Option Error (PBR40441)

    Can you head to commerce.microsoft.com and remove any old payment methods (just leave one valid payment option) from the service for the time being and see if it will work then?

    This is odd. Does your billing info match your physical location and is your gamertag set to the same country that you live in?

    If so then you should give phone support a try as no one on the forums has access to billing info. If you live in North America then dial 1-800-469-9269
