Payment Method - Buying 360 Games

Hi,

Ever since I bought my xbox one back in 2016, for some unknown reason, every time I try to buy a 360 digital game it doesn't allow me unless I had some kind of payment method that worked on the UK. I found a workaround through paypal and this wasn't an issue
until recently, when I wanted to use what was left from a gift card I bought in my own country to buy The Witcher 2 which is on sale, only to find out that payment option isn't available, be it through the console store or through the website. Is there anyway
to make this happen? My console region is set for Portugal.

I can't buy black ops 1 on xbox one

What is the payment method you are trying to use? Remember that you can only use currency in your account on 360 games if you are buying on a 360 console. Otherwise you will have to use a payment method listed on the account.

Also if you are using a child account you will be prevented from purchasing from the 360 marketplace.

XOne "Use a different way to pay" problem

Go to billing.Microsoft.com, pull up your account, remove you payment methods, then re-ad your payment methods.

Profit.(for Microsoft)

In order to use Microsoft account balance for Xbox 360 game purchases, you'll need to complete the transaction on an Xbox 360 console. Account balance is not able to used for Xbox 360 purchases on Xbox.com or your Xbox One console.

If you're purchasing Xbox 360 content on Xbox One or Xbox.com, you'll need to use a credit card.

Hello Roman the methods of payment between 360 and one are a bit different, the payment is made either with the payment of the Microsoft Credit or with prepaid/bank cards. The method of downloading the game tells you to put a method of payment. So if you
do not have a card then I suggest you buy the cards of Microsoft with varied amount.

If you are trying to buy BC games via the Xbox One console you need to have a payment method in place for that store, either a card or PayPal. Without that payment method in place you can't buy or download. You also should be able to buy directly from a
360 console.

For the other issue, try going into settings and clearing the 360 cache and see if that helps.

360 BC games previously downloaded shouldn't require Gold, only the Xbox One games do.

Yes unfortunately this is a constant annoyance needing a payment method on your account to buy or even download a free xbox 360 game on your xbox one.

This is why i still have a 360 sat here to download the free games then when you load up your xbox one the games are in the ready to install folder without needing to add a payment method.

All 360 games (GWG x360 included) only can be bought by credit (and paypal) or debit cards.....the only way around only buy them through an 360 which wont ask for a payment method, through xbox one and the website will ask you a payment method. So no, is
not fixable. Is this way how 360 market works outside the console.
