Paying full price for your Free Games with Gold Game?

I recently just noticed in my Email that i received billing info saying the Free Game with Gold i selected on 1/5/2018 from my Xbox 360 set for download on Xbox One when i sign into One, i was charged $10.48 Total for the FREE game, didnt even own a Xbox
One at that time. Ive been on XBL now more than a decade, im certain of how it all works, there was no mistake on my part, Loyal since the Original console, hundreds spent on my account, maybe thousands. Is there anything i can do? Dont even care bout the
money, maybe credit??

We understand that the issue being experienced involves the charging of a game that was listed as a game with gold.

Our suggestion here as the forums does not carry the necessary tools for reviewing/investigating the Microsoft account and any billing to it would be to request a refund for the purchased game on our
refund request webform.

And if this option does not assist, it would then be best to reach out to our
customer support team to further assist with the case.

Wrong! When you grab a Games With Gold XBOX 360 Game. It does show the full price and say its Free. Which it did. But when it click to buy it the next screen that appears always shows the full price of the game.

Actually, he is right about that. On the payment confirmation screen it updates with the price you're about to pay. If it's free the payment changes to 0.00. If it shows an actual price, then that is what you are being charged unless you cancel the transaction.
Since you're on a trial subscription and not a full subscription, that's why it showed you the price and charged you for the game.

Because they are free with a gold membership at no extra cost. Yes you have to pay for gold but there is no increase in gold pricing thus the games are free...with gold. Games with Gold.

you can download any game with xbox silver account if you pay for the content unless it is free

demos however for the first week is gold exclusive

if you are trying to take advantage of the free game with gold promotion currently runing like fable 3

that wont work unless you are gold otherwise you will be charged the full price
