paying for xbox live years without owning a xbox ?

hello had a problem with PayPal there were charges i didn't recognise i then contacted PayPal they advised me that it was Xbox live from a different Paypal account which is linked to misses account upon them looking into this for us this has been going on since 2009

the email which was used virginmedia stopped using years ago so we cant get into the email as it has been cancelled so i am asking

for any advise we can get from this community
