PAYDAY 2 - HUGE MAJOR UPDATE!

I find it weird that a few weeks ago payday 2 was advertised on my dashboard as on sale. Why is ms trying to sell this game when it knows we are all still waiting on a patch that may never come. The guy above me is spot on. We were promised things that they
failed to provide. With the age of internet im honestly surprised this doesnt happen more often release a game unfinished promise to patch it later, cash in and then never fix anything.

 

exactly, these two fine gentlemen above me are right on target. OVERKILL has promised us DLC and updates but have not given them to us. PSN and PC have already gotten them but there must be some confusion at either OVERKILL or Microsoft about the update.
Maybe they are just polishing it? OR Microsoft could be rejecting these updates, but no-one knows for sure. I say we just wait for about 3 more weeks for the payday 2 DLC to come out, if not, then OVERKILL has given up on us.

 

Man this game freezes so much for me Im afraid to still play it, will it kill my xbox?

 

The game was fun as hell but the dlc they promised will most likely never see the light of day. The year of dlc must be nothing more then a pc exclusive. Really sad how they killed this game for console. They will really have a crap rep for us console guys
cause they just failed to deliver.

 

Love the game its just a shame there is no amount of communication. Were left in the dark to wonder. Seems to happen more often then not.

 

MS I don't know why they are rejecting the updates but overkill is trying to bring us up to date with the pc but MC is say that the file is to big and do they even know that they are losing more people to PS or PC because of this and I'm level 100 on the
xbox verson.

 

If they go to PC / PS3 then they're simply getting another copy sold and probably don't care. The problem is Microsoft charges per patch and the patches aren't exactly small. IIRC the last few I downloaded on PC were over 1gb each.

The people at Overkill have submitted the patch to Microsoft quite a few times now, and Microsoft have sent it back as it did not meet their QA standards. Overkill have been working on the Xbox patch for quite along time and are still working on it, it's
just the fact they can't get it it meet the QA standards.

 

So many developers release patches for games that MS approves, even small developers... There has to be something wrong with whatever patch they keep submitting. I for one wanted to buy PayDay 2 but the fact it's taken this long, they've kept gamers in the
dark, and have yet to get a patch approved is ridiculous. I've remove it from my wish list. If they really cared they'd have fixed this long ago.

 

Pay Day 2 felt like an amazing demo disc game. It's too bad they didn't just make a full game.

 

Overkill has very well over looked the consoles and has made it so that console player who have waited so long for the update to give up our money for a game that has taken ten months to update,TEN MONTHES to get one update is insane,I have never seen a
game take so long to get a update in my life,Also the PC players played $25.00 and console players payed $40.00 and the PC player payed less and got 27 update while Xbox has let me think ZERO,overkill needs to stop stringing console player and give them more
updates and I think 20 updates sounds good before the PC players get another update while the Xbox players sit in the shadows of the PC player.

 

Hey guys! Big new the update for payday 2 will be coming out soon! Overkill has announced on there twitter page the they came to terms with Microsoft and will be working out adding the update file, including Gage weapon packs, new heists, new mask, deathwish
difficulty, and more! There is still hope. But will they revile the time of the update?

 

i think they should just release the update as a REQUIRED DLC like ghosts comp. packs, the first update OVERKILL sent to xbox was 4.0 GB which is half a gig less than the actual game! so if they were to release it as a required dlc, it would process faster
instead of having to chop more and more and MORE out of the update to make it so its basically nothing. i hope we get some FREE DLC for this long wait, its original release date for Payday 2 was back in august of last year so hopefully we get some cool stuff.
but dont everyone get there fingers crossed and their hopes up for an update. MS is a bunch of sticklers when it comes to updates, this isnt the first game ive heard of having trouble getting an update approved.

 

What does it matter at this point? I'm sure 90% of their customers already traded this demo disc in for $5 store credit.
