Payday 2 Crimewave Edition

Can this game be played single player? If so I might pick it up.

 

I had it on the 360 and yeah you can play it single player but its meant to be more fun on co-op , I didn't like it on either lol I found it got boring quite quickly and that was after waiting ages on it coming back in to stock !!

 

If it's like the 360 version don't even try to play it singles player, its notoriously bad.

 

I actually did the bulk of the achievements solo on the Xbox 360, it was really fun working out the best loadout to do it solo, like sneaking into the CIA or FBI building and doing that completely stealth and solo is quite the accomplishment if you ask me.
Though it is better with coop partners let's not lie.

The unfortunate thing for me is I got really into Payday 2 when they updated the 360 so I'm nearly at infamy 5 and I can't even transfer that rank over and I don't think you understand how long it takes to get there.... I can't go back, I just can't.

 

Wow, fair shout, I'm really surprised at that, everything i saw, heard or read said it was shocking SP and unplayable because of the AI stupidity. I only ever did MP because of that!

 

Don't get me wrong, you're really reliant on yourself and your own skill plus how used to the level you are and where enemies spawn etc. (though my AI team mates definitely helped me out by revving me a few times)

For example though, I could do the rats mission solo 3 stars and even cleared the 8 bags in the parking lot achievement by myself, haha. You could do every achievement solo in that game except short fuse (get 7 bags without defusing the bombs on rats, last
achievement I need) and a few of the 'escape' missions between the levels.

I'm the type of person that likes to try that kind of stuff though, it was pretty painful when I wasn't a high rank, I wouldn't solo the harder levels unless I was about level 80+ I really loved Payday 2 though, spent so much time figuring out strategies.

I really do want the Xbox One version, but ah! I'm just torn.

 

Can anyone tell me how to change my skill in this game? I want to use the Technician but I can find a way to change it from the Mastermind. I unlocked the skill tree for the Technician but I can't seem to select it in the game. I have the game on XBOX

The skill tree are all passive skills, there's no choice of which skill tree to play as, as you play as them all but only get the abilities of that skill tree when you spend your points into the skill tree and skills you want,

You can have Mastermind and Technician skills at the same time but can only chose one piece of equipment in the loadout - Mastermind Doctors bag or Technicians Trip mine,

If your not happy with where you spend your points, just press Y on the skill tree to respec all your point in that skill tree to spend elsewhere.

 

I have had this game for a week now on XBOX One and I have been unable to join an online game. A total waste of money as the whole point of the game is online co-op. Very unhappy...

 

For me, I will pick up Payday 2 when it's on bargain bin price (I'm looking to spend about $20 on this game).

 

For people that are displeased with the game, you can contact support chat on here, explain your circumstances in a polite manner and they can refund you. You weren't provided with the service you paid for so they understand.

 

Too bad they won't refund you on hard copies. Open media policies are BS driven by the industry.

The game is absolutely useless if you can't connect to people. The AI doesn't work for solo. It's garbage that should have been worked out before it was released.

 

It can Raging, I prefer it that way, unless you got a group of personal firends with mics dont bother online, the bots are ten times better then your average player. However there are something you may want to know first, the bots while amazing bullet sponges
will do nothing but follow, shoot, call out and revive you. They will not interact with objectives ( IE carrying bags ) pick loot up. You have to do it all yourself which can get a bit tedious but again I prefer it this way.

Also some of the game mechanics are really stupid like making next to nothing on anything with less then 3 stars and guns and attachements while there is al ot you have to pay absurd prices to attach things to them and if you take them off you have to pay
again to attach... the HELL!!!!!!

 

My game is constantly freezing whenever I'm on the crime.net screen. It freezes whenever I move the cursor or when I click on anything. I can't connect with anyone either. It's a pain in the ***.

It's probably been brought up already. I just didn't fee like going through and reading everyone's posts.
