"Pay with a different currency"

I've purchased an online code off of Amazon.de (the German version), which I have done countless times before. I live in Germany, my location is set to Germany, the code is 'German' and in Euros. Yet I get this message when I try to redeem it:

Pay with a different currency
This code cannot be used with the currency in your billing account. To use the code, change the location associated with your billing account in Settings.

Yeah, but you pay a different amount for, say 2100 MSP point card in different countries.

EA Access uses Paypal (for some regions) or a Credit Card only. It will not accept currency.

I'm not sure when it will be available but as some point in the future you'll be able to purchase membership cards from your local game retailer.

 

Could be an issue with a code itself. Try contacting Amazon see if they can switch out the code.

 

Amazon is a site that many people across the world use. More than likely the code that you purchased is for a different country than you live in which would be the reason that you're getting that error message.

 

I'm getting the same issue: £5 gift code on an Xbox Live 12 month pack, my country code and language are UK and English. Accepted all the other codes off the pack except the £5 gift where it complains about the code not matching the location. I bought
the starter pack 2 miles away in one of the biggest supermarket chains in the UK!
