I had a question for Xbox Live Gold for Fortnite. Why do we have to pay the Gold Xbox Live service for Fortnite ? When you have a PlayStation 4 or a Nintendo Switch, you don't have to pay to play Fortnite if you don't want to pay the online service. In Fortnite,
I am actually TIER 64 and I want to reach the TIER 100, so, it would be very interesting to make it free ( but just for Fortnite ) and that would bring back Fortnite players to the Xbox One.

I have a question. Why do we have to pay xbox live gold every month to play fortnite.? The ps4 users dont have to pay for ps plus to play fortnite. So can you guys let us play fortnite without xbox live gold, please?

Please, please, please make it so fortnite is playable without xbox live gold! It’s really unfair that we can’t play it for free. Epic game's intention was to make fortnite a free game, why do you break that? I kinda regret having an xbox for christmas now.

Also, ps4 players can play without PS+, so why not us be able to play without gold? Doesn’t make sense.

 

It makes perfect sense. Xbox Live treats all multiplayer content equally. It is not fair that some players get to play a game for free using services paid for by other players.

The game itself is indeed free, but it is up to the player to pay for the service connection they use to play it. Be it your Internet Service, your mobile phone service, or your gaming service.

 

i do agree on that but do you get free games with ps+ every month, i don't think so

 

It's a commonly asked for service to be honest. Is it a fair one though? Not so sure. Why should you have to pay for other games online but not that one? I cant see it happening to be honest. But you never know.

 

It's been like this and worked like this for years. Imagine it being available to all accounts, trolls would get out of hand, etc.

 

Ok so, say epic made it so that it would be free to play without xbox live gold, out of all the money spent on the research and making the game epic or Microsoft would make no profit they would actually make no money, plus it would be unfair to the players
who have spent money to get xbox live gold, just to find out that it is free to play, there would be a surplus of complaints and there would be millions, I repeat millions of refund requests. So why would big companies like Microsoft or epic make the game
free to play just because some people whine. It just seems unfair, to me that those big companies would be forced to make games like fortnite free to play. Knowing that fortnite is very popular epic will not pay attention to the few people complaining, but
to the millions of people joining each day. Finally I want to state that it would not be very fair to the people who worked extra hours to program the hardware, keep it safe from viruses, and who made the coding for the actual game, those hard working people
have families to feed and how would you feel if your mom and dad came home without food, because they did not have money, due to the opinions of a few different people.

For playing online you have to pay on Xbox...it makes you safer than on other platforms.

What do you even mean by that? No one is paying for playing Fortnite on their devices except Xbox One. Guy's asking only for Fortnite to be made 'free-to-play' on Xbox Live. He is not asking for the whole Xbox Live
Gold thing to be made free. No one is BEGGING for that! He just wants to play Fortnite for free without paying a dime (apart from his electricity and internet bills) like everyone else out there is doing who doesn't own an Xbox One.
