Pay difference to switch from Minecraft Xbox to Minecraft PC

I just bought Minecraft as a gift through the Xbox store for my child and my child redeemed it on their account. Unfortunately I just realized that the version I bought was the Xbox version. My child has a Mac so they cannot even play it.



I submitted a refund request but I am worried that because it's a redeemed gift purchase the refund will get denied. Do I have any options, i.e. paying the difference on my kid's account to switch to the PC/Java version, or getting the redeemed gift reversed so I can buy the correct option?

Yes it will almost guaranteed get denied due to it being redeemed.

There is no way to reverese it being redeemed and there is unfortunately no way to simply pay the difference to switch to a different version

Refunds are typically issued for requests meeting the following criteria:

-Requests are made within 14 days of the purchase date

-Requests are for games in which you haven’t accumulated a significant amount of play time.

Moving forward, it's always best to check the game before completing your purchase to help prevent this from happening again.

There are different versions of Minecraft on Xbox One! Theres Minecraft Xbox One Version, Minecraft (compatible with pc, mobile, switch).

The Version that you say Minecraft Windows 10 its only for Windows PC.

Minecraft PE is completely different from Minecraft for PC.
At the moment you need to purchase each edition of the game.

For example if you own Xbox edition and want to play on PC, you need to purchase PC version.
You can replace Xbox and PC for Mobile and Switch, Xbox and Mobile, etc.
