Pausing update

    Pausing update


    Hello there,

    I'm kinda new to the fourms so I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place.

    My situation is that I've installed Gears of War 4 today and its ready to play, but there was a 17GB update that came with it. I've downloaded 50% of the update, but want to pause it and take the disk out as I want to go on a different game. Will this loose
    all my progress such as the update progress and the game it self? I'm awful worried, thanks!

    portal knights game wont update

    Pause download issue

    You can click on Pause All if you go on queue when you update or download any games or updates. You will see on this screec Cancel ALL button and Pause ALL button.

    **** just happened, game was updating, it got stuck, i cleared the que now my game is deleted?

    What you should've done is suspended the Microsoft Store updating by pressing the pause button on the update icon for it and pressing "Pause download." Clearing the queue will obviously clear everything you had queued up for download.

    If you interrupt an update or cancel it, without using the pause feature, that update is corrupted, and corrupt the entire game.. Before shutting down your consul or computer, pause your downloads to make sure that they can be resumed successfully

    Hello Arash,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand have a question on updates. Are you pausing or cancelling the update at all? If you cancel and try and update later, this will uninstall the game to prevent corruption. Also if updating and it continuously stops
    or pauses it can reinstall the complete game.

    Hi,

    All downloads are paused when the console is updating. They will be resumed as soon as the update is completed.
