    Hello, I am planning to subscribe toXbox Live Gold for my Xbox One. I was just wondering if I could pause or suspend the subscription some how as I may have days where I cannot play online.

    You would get a message like that if you have auto-renewal on and for some reason they have not been able to bill your account for gold. They usually attempt to bill you several times before suspending you which usually means you have accrued a balance which
    must be paid before you can go gold again. You can check
    http://commerce.microsoft.com     to see if there is a balance or see what issue may be wrong with your payment method.

    Also, you no longer need a gold subscription in order to access apps.

    since account subscriptions cannot be paused or suspended basically it will be running regardless if you are home or not sorry.

    I am very sorry to inform you but you will not be able to pause your subscription to Xbox Live which is stated in the Terms of Service you agreed to when signing up to Xbox Live. You can cancel your subscription but this will not be refunded
    and you will need to re-purchase subscription to Xbox Live Gold.

    Yeah, I'm in the same boat. They're crooks. I'm not getting any more Xbox products and I'm pretty disappointed with Microsoft in general. No wonder they have lost so much market share.
