Pause, rewind, fast forward, etc commands do not work with live TV

Everything works as advertised except for the commands to control live TV in terms of pause and etc... I even want to go so far as to say that these functions worked when I first got the Xbox One but eventually stopped working.. I distinctly remembering
saying, "wow, it pauses live TV too?!" the first time I tried it.. But now, it only shows the icons when I try those commands but doesn't actually do anything.. This is both via the Kinect and the Xbox One Controller..

I've tried every manner of reset and reboot.. I've also gone through the DVR/cable box set-up again..

Does the Xbox One pause live TV for you other users?. if so, any suggestions for a fix?.. Thanks

-P.S. - I'm also one of the few who's Xbox One doesn't respond to the Xbox One command.. I still haven't found a fix for that either.. I love the console but these are the only two issues I have.. Any help is appreciated..

As for working with recorded shows, no. It only works with Live tv. You can pause, play, rewind, fast forward with live tv just as you do now with the remote, but to access your recording and On Demand, you still need to use the remote.

Does xbox one pause/fast forward/rewind regular cable channels like tivo? If so how does it work. Im unable to pause or rewind when im watching tv, but im able to change channels, high and lower volume. Thanks in advance!

Where are you posting from, live tv features are currently only available in the US.

 

I am having the same problem, except only when I use my Harmony remote control (see thread:

My commands get relayed to the DVR while using the Watch TV perfectly fine when I use voice commands or inputs from the Xbox One controller. If I use my Harmony remote, the icons come up on the bottom of the screen, but nothing gets sent to the DVR.

Yep, the Xbox One communicates with my DVR/cable box just fine for every other command except for pausing live tv.. It turns my cable box off/on automatically, it changes channels, etc. I just can't get it to pause live television..

 

I finally figured it out. I had to do an internet search for the device remote code for my cable box and then I entered it in manually.. Now everything works fine. I guess the automatic set-up, the Xbox One did only got it partially correct.. Thank you

When ever I fast forward or rewind on xbox using directv my screen freezes not showing me where I am fast forwarding to until I press play
