Pause button not working on any remote in Netflix app

I have tried the official Microsoft remote and an Insignia remote, and with both I am unable to pause any videos in Netflix. It works in every other media app, so I contacted Netflix and they claimed it was a hardware problem. Clearly it is not. Has anyone
else run into this?

Official Xbox One Remote Netflix issues

I've been using the Official XBone Remote with Netflix without issue until lately where the Play/Pause seem to have stopped functioning properly with Netflix. All other apps still work ok with the button but Netflix only seems to pause, and not resume playing.
I can get around this by using the centre button between the arrows at the top but I'd like the remote to function as it was intended! I've reset my xbox, uninstalled the app, deleted data, signed in again etc and am at my wits end on how to solve a trivial
but frustrating issue. Any solutions out there I haven't tried?

 

Media Remote no longer works with YouTube and Netflix apps after 11/15 console update

I have the same problem with Netflix and the media remote. The only buttons that still work are the Xbox home key, and the Play/Pause key. Media remote buttons work fine navigating the Xbox menu so I know it works fine but when using Netflix I cannot FF,
rewind, skip, select, etc. This started happening after the November update. If I uninstall Netflix app and reinstall it the remote will work fine until I power off the console at night. The next day when I use power up and use Netflix the remote is back to
not working again. I use energy-save power settings.

 

I have a nyko media remote with a pause/play button for Xbox one. A few weeks ago the pause stopped working in Netflix but works fine in plex. I can pause with the Xbox controller with no issues. Currently we have to stop and then resume the video.

 

Please re install the app and check if it works. Isn't a common issue, so, is one of the only thing to fix this I can think now.

I have reinstalled the app three times since the problem started and it did not fix the problem. I recommend people contact Netflix directly. If they get enough complaints, perhaps they will fix it.

 

I can only press the skip button >| once. After I skip once I cant skip anymore. Also on Netflix with the original Xbox One media remote

To clarify, do you have issues with any other apps or is this just with Netflix? I did a little testing myself and I was able to pause, but unable to unpause unless I press the select button on the media remote. Are you not able to pause or is it just unpausing
that's an issue for you currently?

I can use the Pause button to pause, but pressing it again does not unpause it. This only happens in Netflix.

It looks like I missed your post somehow, huge apology for that. It's been a bit, but have you seen any changes since you last posted or are you still unable to unpause?

 

As of a few days ago, pausing works properly in the Netflix app.
