    Patch For Halo-MCC System Link Play Needed


    I was SOOOOOOOO disappointed that there is no system link play for Halo Masterchief Collection. When I got my 2nd and third copies, I wanted to see how to set up a system link game and could not find any menu items relating to it, in fact there are no menu
    settings at all for anything other than Xbox Live play with the only choice given whether to make it private or open. Unbelievable! I was in the process of selling all my 360's with the news of backward compatibility coming and I just obtained my 3rd Xbox
    1 with the idea that all us guys could play some really decent games on the Xbox 1. They need to come out with a patch for this right away. Right now, the only game we can system link is Advanced Warfare (fun game).

    Hey Th3 Slengineer,

    Did you play Halo: MCC during the eligible time period? In order to qualify, you would have needed to play Halo: MCC between 11/11/2014 - 12/19/2014. If you did not play during that time, you do not qualify for Halo 3: ODST.

    Release game now, patch later makes these consoles online-only

    A 15GB day one patch for Halo MCC, and multiplayer isn't working well despite the game has received at least 3 other Xbox Live Updates since it came out. I still like Halo though. Halo 2 MCC Campaign looks amazing and got some fun out of it. Haven't gotten
    around to completing much in the game as I like to play other stuff on Xbox. That 15GB patch is the biggest patch I've had to download day one for any game in my life.

    Both Call of Duty: Ghosts and Advanced Warfare have System Link on Xbox One. So the console is capable of doing it, there's just no other developers that have chosen to implement the feature (Even Halo: MCC requires an internet connection for LAN play).
