Password won't work on 360 Console

I know my password and can access everything but my Xbox live Profile. It keeps telling me to go to xbox.com/forgot for help. I've done this multiple times, resetting my password multiple times but it will not allow me to access my profile. I can change
everything, have deleted my cache, my profile and yet it will not recognize my password. Does it take more than 2 hrs for the password to be recognized? I've waited at least that long during initial attempt.. hoping it would allow access.

Can't change Microsoft account on 360. Can sign in on xbox.com but not on the 360 to switch accounts.

I can access my account on xbox.com with the password but not on 360. I can still get on the 360 to play but my password won't work on the 360. So in other words my password to sign in will work on xbox.com but not on the 360. Please help!!!

Hey EXLEX, that feature is for 360 consoles only. It won't work on the Xbox One. The OP's best option here would be to change the email and/or password of the account.

Have you tried to change your password? I would contact Xbox support about this. You can always try Xbox supports twitter. I get more answers through them.

Click "My Account" above, then "Xbox 360 Profile Protection", then the "Require Profile download" button. Then your profile won't be usable without a password.

(When you sign in on your new console for the first time, you'll be prompted to always use a password or to "trust" the console.)

Delete the account, then use your current email and password to recover it. Then , try changing the password (If that doesnt work , email swapping won't)

They will work as long as they are backwards compatible. If they're not backwards compatible, then they won't work on anything other than a 360 console.

Obsessive Power

The 'App password' for the Xbox 360 is a work-around for the two step verification system available for the Xbox One/Series X|S. As the Xbox 360 doesn't support 2 step, you need to use an 'App Password' on these consoles.

For the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, you need to use your Microsoft account password.
