password reset/blocked account

So I recently got my dad an Xbox, and unfortunately a problem occurred where we had to factory reset the Xbox. After this we tried to sign into his account and with maybe three failed attempts because we forgot the email he used, his account got blocked. I tried to reset his password but according to the automated service we dont have enough information to reset it. It wouldn't be much of an issue but he's still paying for his game pass subscription and we can't cancel it without signing in, can't sign in because its blocked. I've tried resetting the password about 6 times now. I even tried calling the support, but it sends a link or just hangs up, and apparently I need to sign into the account to call which I can't do

Yes, right now the only way to cancel a subscription is sign in with the account that owns it.

I can advise you keep trying with the recovery form (and fill it with different info on the second try) until it gets accepted by Microsoft account recovery team

In the meantime I think the best option would be freeze/block the card asking it to your financial institution, in that way your dad is not going to be charged next month and keep it in that way until you're able to recover the account

Since you cannot log in because your account was locked for multiple login attempts, I recommend that you complete the account recovery form, that way you will submit a ticket to the Microsoft account recovery team.

There, you must enter some information that is required to verify if you are the main owner of the account. If you had a phone number attached to the account, you can also use it. Unfortunately, an account cannot be recovered with little data.

Please note that no one here, including Microsoft support, can send password reset links for security policies since we do not have access to other users' information. We are just players like you!

It is blocked because I cannot reset my password I cannot log into my account.

I know that it is blocked, my email account for the live account is also blocked. Thats why i need to know how to unblock the live account because i cant reset the password because i dont have access to my email account.
