    Password reset 2FA problem Please Help!


    I have a somewhat unique situation.. or it may infact not be at all. I'm trying to reset my Xbox/Microsoft password which requires two way authentication as I have it set up. Now I want 2FA but for some reason it's no longer populating and I can't change anything until I get the numbers to appear for me to select the one it's given as the key. I can't use other methods like my phone number as a recovery because it has my old number and I don't think I can change that either without re-logging in. I can access my email currently and my phone of course but the apps just not populating(oh and yes I've uninstalled and re installed it).

    Any help would be beyond appreciated!

    You will still need to reset your account password in order to receive the 2nd password from the 2fa.

    Reset all your passwords to something different on each one, contact the account vender and ask them to reset and temp disable the account, and to reset the password. Turn on sevurity features (like firewall) and use 2fa. Or just pay them

    Unfortunately that is the problem with the 2fa.

    It is highly impossible for you to recover your account, unless you remember your password or recover back your security proof.
