hi trying to stop my son buying stuff on his xbox, ive read i can set a pass on his contriller so it gets him on live but will he have to enter thr pass again to buy , hoping it will stop him, thanks, rob

Hey Gamers, All you need to create a FREE Xbox Live Account is an email and im going to tell you how you make sure you have a secure xbox live account so people will not find your password out when they come to try and recover your xbox live gamertag all
you have to do is make sure you make your password something you will remember and you will need a Security question or Other Email address you use a lot just in case someone finds it and resets your password so you can then get your password and email back.

Now On the xbox put it in when you are creating an account and then create it which everyone should know how to do this , but if you go on your xbox and you cannot sign into messenger( if on sign in automatic MSN) And it comes up with an ERROR Code Please
contact xbox support and they will help you because this could means that hotmail have blocked you out of your msn and could mean you have to wait upto 48hours for your email to be re-activated.

So first of all to block purchases your son must have a child account. Now I guessing that he has not got one because if he had he would have needed your email and password to set up his account. Most of the time kids are smart enough to set up accounts
with older ages as to give them adult account and access to adult content and controls. But if he has a child account in his privacy and online setting there should be an option there to block Purchasing now if there is not an option in privacy and online
settings at all for that then that means he has an adult account and you can not block purchase, sorry.

Now I believe the function you are talking about in your post putting a code on a controller is called the Passkey. It's only available on the Xbox One's and not the 360. It's a cool function where buy if someone goes to buy something with that profile it
requires a Passkey like say for example x,x,x,LT. Now if you son has his email as the sign in on the account he could disable it quite easy though. The passkey is not designed to stop children buying content it's designed to stop people buying things on your
profile when your not around.

The best advice out there is just remove your credit card and use Pre Paid Codes from the shops. There is codes for Gold to give him Live, Currency so he can buy content. With Kids PPC's are always the answer I hope this helps.

15 character password! Look at it! It's glorious... ok not really but it is a password that contains different case letters, special symbols, and numbers which *is* pretty awesome. All I did was grab the first letter of each word/abbreviation as it appears
in the sentence, and used that to create my example password. Odds of someone guessing it if you do not give someone the sentence or the password itself? Not so good.

Actually its you thats in the wrong,giving out your password and allowing other people to use your profile is a violation of the code of conduct.

As far as i can see,if you gave him your account details he hasn`t stolen anything,you gave it to him.

The 360 is not a Fisher Price wind-up toy. The Live service is not daycare. Remove their access to the console and to Live until you sit down and go through all the Parental Control options and set them up with CHILD accounts.
