    Change your password online - Hold the xbox power button down for 5 seconds, it will reset the profile and when it reboots, it will ask for your new password.

    Password changed worked here also...

    Change your password online (account.live.com/password/Change) - Hold the xbox power button down for 5 seconds, it will reset the profile and when it reboots, it will ask for your new password.

    That didn't work. I tested the password out on the microsoft website and worked fine. I even changed the password and it did not work.

    My suggestion is to try other passwords you have used while changing it. Sometimes that ends up working. And where are you changing your password? Is it on a phone or the computer? That can affect the password changing, too.

    T Ghost's solution worked for me... Mine happened when i changed my emails/alias as well.

    I just changed it to require password

    Log out

    Log back in with password

    Change to save password

    Log out

    Log in... No password needed.
