    hi ive recentley brought a xbox 360 off someone on gumtree and it has a parental control passcode on it,so i cant play many games that i have,ive contacted the seller for the code but they wont get back to me.HOW DO I RESET PASSCODE? thanks

    How to back up player info before restoring Xbox

    You won't need to back up your files. What you need to do if you forgot your passcode is call support. They'll walk you through the steps needed to reset the passcode.

    Hello, if you set the DOB on the account to be at least 18, you will need to go to Settings, Account, Promote Account. :) If the account is still a child account, you will need a passcode, if you have forgot the passcode, enter the passcode in wrong once
    and then select "Reset Passcode" :)

    Which passcode are you referring to, the Xbox LIVE (personal) passcode, or the Family Settings passcode? For the LIVE passcode, you can try recovering the profile. For the Family passcode, you need to either know the security answer, or call phone support.

    Hey wasteland, what you are referring to is a LIVE passcode. You can remove a LIVE passcode by deleting your GamerTag from your console and then redownloading it (you will need to know the email and passcode). Once redcownloaded, the LIVE passcode will be
    cancelled and you will not need to perform the sequence any longer unless you decide to set one up again.

    If it's the Family Passcode you'll need to register your console at myservice.xbox.com and then contact support. Each console has a unique code that needs to be entered to reset the Family Passcode.
