    I have bought a xbox 360 that is locked.

    he i bought it off do not remember the 4 digit code.

    I've been to xbox.com and registered the device but do not know what to do from there.

    I have tried everything. I think.

    Tell me what to do now so I can move on. thanks. John

    Are you talking the 4-button passcode for your profile or the passcode for the family settings? If you are talking the passcode for your profile you can just download your profile again by clicking the Xbox guide button on your controller and selecting
    Download Profile. This will clear the 4 button passcode you had set. If you are talking the code for family parental settings, I would get the parental account to contact Microsoft Phone Support to
    receive reset instructions. Hope this helps!

    Forgot my 4 digit sign in pass code

    Delete your gamertag and redownload it!

    This removes the 4 digit passcode from your profile for the xbox.

    Automatic SIgn in not working

    The issue is the live passcode that you have setup on your account. ("hit the sign on to xbox live button and put my 4 digit passcode in.") The live passcode is there to prevent the connection to live on your account by anyone without a passcode.

    Just remove the live passcode and then It will auto sign in to live for you again, You can remove the passcode in account management or by downloading your profile again.
