Just a little tidbit I found amusing...

Downloaded my free copy of Fallout 3 and was surprised to see all my old settings still in place. Orange Pip-Boy screen color, inverted Y-axis, difficulty setting, etc.. One might assume from Cloud saves, right? That would be kind of hard seeing as Cloud
saves were NEVER set up on any of my 360 accounts; never bothered as I carried my profile and saves on a flash drive.

Don't get me wrong, I believe we are being monitored on everything...I'm just surprised a company would blow the "illusion" of privacy. A single-player game with absolutely no online function data mining? A little disturbing in my opinion. ;-) At least they
could have given me a old save file, so the game wouldn't have to be started from scratch.

What's the communities thoughts? REALLY need a tinfoil hat or who cares? Or possibly; where is my check for doing market research for you?

I'm not having a go at anyone, if your worried about it well your worried about it lol but you should check the Xbox One Forums, I actually do believe some on there will be wearing tinfoil hats lol.

I've said all along I don't believe for a split second Kinect will be used to spy on me/us but as someone mentioned over on the XB1 forums for the people getting all paranoid about Kinect, what about things like your phones, laptops, whether it be calls, txts,
emails etc I bet we would have a shock to what others know about us lol.

 

i fall under the "who cares" category because i am of the mindset that privacy has been an illusion for a long time now.

 

People hate to have their illusion shattered though. I agree privacy is pretty much an illusion unless you want to live off the grid.

 

OK... I have to admit it... I was skimming down through your post and as I rather quickly approached the "blow the "illusion" " part I almost misread and... well you see my GT often enough. For a brief moment, I thought WTH!? Did he find an old game save
that was mine!? WTH does this have to do with me!? Have I been violated!?

So are you saying all your old game saves are there as well or just your old customisation options? I'm a little confused at what you mean exactly?

I just don't understand how that would happen without the save data then, I'm going to have to see this for myself.

 

Mine had a screen downloading data might of said save data not sure but it never changed or found my save games so it was a fresh install which is what I wanted anyways.

 

Just the customization options. The only reason it stood out was because of the Pip-Boy color (Orange instead of green.). When I went into options to change my Y-axis, it was already inverted. The difficulty level was "Very Easy". I remember setting up this
way for my girlfriend to try.

Once again, I never setup Cloud saves for the 360. Could explain why I got the 200(?) Gold keys in Borderlands:The Handsome Collection for being a "loyal customer". Wished I set up Cloud saves to carry over my toons, but just figured they gave me the keys
because I bought it at launch; now it would appear M.S. was monitoring my "offline" data. Not that I'm too upset/shocked about it...but, it would be nice to get all my level 72 characters back! Lmao.

I was curious because I wouldn't actually mind having my saves without going through the cloud save effort, haha, I do want to start again anyway though so I can do an evil playthrough!

 

I don't like subtitles and always used to turn them off on the 360, and I have noticed a fair few games that I play on the One already switch the sub titles to off when I play. Fallout 4 is the latest one to do it.

 

Never wear a TINFOIL HAT unless you have matching
TINFOIL SHOES.
