Pass Code Removal

I purchased a used Xbox 360 S that has a pass code on it. I have registered the Xbox 360 S to my Microsoft account and followed the procedure to reset the pass code. Following the steps given, the reset process is not working. Part of the rest states
to press LT followed by other 'triggers'. My issue is as soon as I press the LT, the System Info screen goes back to the Console Settings screen and continues to alternate as you press different buttons. I would like to remove the pass code so my game with
M rating or anything disc above E rating will play. Short of calling Microsoft, is there something missing? Thanks for your assistance in advance.

The pass code is just console based if the account is recovered to a different console the pass code is removed.

HI if the pass code is the button sequence pass code it can be removed by recovering the gamer tag, if you have any other questions just ask

Simply recover the profile. Doing that removes the pass code.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are attempting to remove a family pass code on an Xbox 360.

Restoring the system will not remove the pass code. You will need to
reset the pass code by registering this device to your account and then
managingthe device.
