    Party Overlay in Xbox Game Bar


    I would to know how to receive party overlay when using the Xbox game bar. I press win+g to get into the game bar, and I see in the top left, there is a list of people that are in my party. It is perfectly set up for there to be a party overlay, when I
    am out of the game bar screen. But there isn't. This feature exists on the Xbox one, but I just don't know how to activate it on the pc Xbox game bar. Thank you.

    Why cant my XBOX party hear me on PC unless Gamebar is open? my default devices settings are correct on both Xbox And Gamebar apps.

    There is a workaround: in Game Bar you can pin the party chat so that it stays active when the Game Bar overlay disappears. Click the pin icon on the party chat widget. Hopefully they fix it properly soon.

    We understand that you're experiencing issues with the Xbox Game Bar party chat. By default, the Xbox Game Bar is an overlay feature, pinning the service like chat party or social tab, will help the app to run on the background.

    Should you wish to have a feature where Xbox Game Bar does not have to be on an overlay feature. Feel free to send a suggestion to Team Xbox - Xbox Support

    PC xbox app: game bar audio bug

    I have the same issue. The workaround I'm using is to "pin" the Party Chat Game Bar widget. This way, the party chat stays visible when the rest of the Game Bar overlay disappears, and it keeps your mic active.
