Party or private chat?

Hi everbody! I have a question my friend just bought a XB1 is there anyway to start a private chat before we play COD Ghosts or do we have to start this during the game, anyway any help would be appreciated : ) Have a Great Weekend

Unable to party or private chat

It allows me to chat with one user for a while before it gives me an error but everyone else it tells me there may be network errors unable to join chat. Since I called a few days ago, it now continues to log me out of live I'm the middle of games and netflix.
But as soon as I'm at the dashboard it logs me right back in . It's very frustrating ... My internet connection is also not going out when this happens and I've checked my router settings and made sure the correct ports were open for the xbox... I've tried
everything. Plz help.

If you go to the friends app and view your friends profile, you should be able to invite them to a party chat. Either that or open the party app, start a party, then invite your friend.

On the Xbox One, there's only party chat, but you can invite your friend and then lock it, so it effectively becomes a private chat.

Does private chat work in snd?. Ffa doesnt allow party chat but allows private chat.

Hey there,

Party chat is where you can have multiple people in a chat, talking, at the same time. Private chat is where it is only you and one other person. This makes it more private for you and the other person as you can not have more then two people in the chat.
This will be between you and a friend only.

As for why this feature is not supported on the Xbox One. In short, I don't know. This could be because of how many people used the feature or how the feature worked. If you would like this feature on Xbox One, then you can make a suggestion on the Xbox
