Party invites removed from PC app?

Has the option to receive party invites been removed from the app? I can no longer receive them and the option isn't in my app anymore....

Yes, the feature has been moved to the game bar.

To access Xbox Game Bar press Windows Key + G or the Xbox button if using an Xbox Controller.

If you see the "Xbox Social" overlay you can view, accept and decline party invites you can also manage the party if you are in one.

If you do not see the "Xbox Social Overlay" :

1) look for the "friends' icon" on the top menu then press it

If you do not see the "friends' icon"

1) press the menu button next to the time

2) press the "star" button next to "Xbox Social"

3)click on the friends' icon on the top menu.

I’ve had this problem for a few days already and it’s really bugging with me. I cannot receive or send messages, party invites, or game invites.

All the responses from similar threads weren’t helpful.

I’ve tried removing my profile and signing in again, resetting my modem, enabling UPNP, and disconnecting my internet.

My NAT type is Open

have you tried sending messages on a different device or party's.

the pc app or mobile app support both would rule out your account or the xbox

Xbox companion app is discontinued, and the "Party Invitations" and "Games" notification settings are nonexistent in the Xbox PC app. Settings for invites and messages are all on the Game Bar app for PC.

You'll just have to make sure these settings are checked after reinstalling the game bar @ (Game Bar)Settings>Notifications>Xbox Social>Notify me when I'm invited to a party or multiplayer game

It's not just the mobile app, it also applies to the one on Windows 10 PC. Game Bar keeps closing and this could be a virus. As for the main Xbox Console Companion, there is no way to join invites only parties due to the notifications for that being removed
permanently.

Hey there

Has far has i understand it the companion app old name xbox app doesnt have party chat or notes for some things like game invites and party invites these are now done though game bar.

The app itsself is a compaion app for things like streaming too PC checking the store messages
