No matter what headset I use or what controller I use any headset that is plugged in through the 3.5mm jack causes my party members to hear an echo. The only way to not have an echo is to use the mono chat headset that comes with the system.

Party Echo

So once I start up a party I'm told from everybody in the party that they hear an echo from every person coming from my end so I muted my tv and it didn't help so I turned on my party overlay and saw my name pop up every time a friend would speak. So I muted
my mix but even with my mix and tv muted my name would still pop up with an echo from all the others in the party.

I've no idea what it could be but I have a suspicion that it's my controller being old and beat up but I really don't want to spend the money on a new controller with out hopefully trying whatever there is to try.

If this happened to you how did you fix it?

Party Echo

So, I have a PowerA 20$ Mic that echos, Now before you say "Buy a new mic" Note: It only echos when in party chat, In game chat it doesn't echo even if someone screams into their mic. My mic has a mute switch on it and when I turn mute on they can't hear
me but they are still able to hear the echo, Anyone know how to fix this party chat echo glitch?

it depends who is hearing the echo.

if you are hearing an echo then it is most likely that someone else in your party has their mic gain too high and has party chat through their TV or too loud in their headphones. check whose name shows when you hear the echo.

they would need to turn down party chat volume and/or change their mic sensitivity

The first thing I would suggest you to try doing is to turn the volume on your headset and television down a little bit because if the volume is too high this can sometimes cause some echo.

If you can hear the echo of the party means that it's not originated by you, that would be someone else in the party that has the echo and it's the reason why you hear your self

If others can hear echo on their end but you can't, means you need to lower the headset volume and the Mic monitoring to reduce the echo

Hey did you figure out the solution to echo problem? I'm having the same issue with my Polk 4 Shots. When I'm in a party everyone says that their voices are echoing.

Your headset is probably picking up the party sound causing it to echo or there's a loose connection
