Party Connection Issues with specific gamertag

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I'll ask anyways...

Lately I've been having party and private chat connection issues with a specific gamertag on Xbox 360. The problems started about 2 weeks ago, and the first few times were fine, but now we cannot stay in private chat or in a Xbox live party together (alone)
without getting dropped or kicked out within a minute. When other users are in our party, we seem to be alright most of the time. Sometimes, it does happen as well.

I would like to know a way to fix the issue I'm having and hopefully prevent this from happening again.

Why would I contact Xbox Support when I already post here? Anyways all they are going to tell me to try doing troubleshooting steps when they won't work and like I said this is not happening to just me.

Just recently, I have had problems with connecting and staying in parties. I have checked my network and multiplayer connection and it says there are no problems, I have no problem connection and staying in multiplayer games either.

Plus, when I am in a party and get disconnected, I get the error code 0x89231804 and it says there is no available error information. Is it me or is it the new update?

Sounds like an NAT issue. Make sure that both yours and the other person's NAT are Open, and not Moderate or Closed. Port forward all ports, set a static IP for your console, and enable UPnP on your router or modem.

 

I checked on MW2 recently that both our NAT types are open...which wouldn't let us connect to the same game session.

Anyways, would it be beneficial for both of us to do the following suggestions?
