Party connection issues when switching games or party's.

Over the last week I been noticing random disconnections and the inability to join, hear or talk in party chat; it seemed the problem was when I switched games. It was very frustrating, because all I could do was unplug the Xbox to fix, there has to be a
better answer.

April Update Available for everyone, but missing two features

If someone is having trouble connecting to a party for some random reason, the party chat will automatically switch over to a dedicated server so that everyone can connect without issue.

 

X1 Party Issue

I had this issue when playing with a couple people from this lobby in the Halo 5 beta. From what I experienced, it was switching others and I to game chat and of course, nobody was talking in game chat. What I do is just open the party up using snap, then click on my name and switch it back to party chat.

 

Please go to Settings >> Disc & Blu-ray >> Persistent Storage >> Clear Persistent Storage. Please do this step for 3 times.

After you have done clearing Persistent Storage thrice, please go to Settings >> Network >> Advanced Settings >> Alternate MAC >> Clear Alternate MAC >> Restart.

Once the console fully restarted, remove your account just the refresh the profile. If you are signed in, go to Settings > Sign-in, Security & Passkey and then "Remove me from this Xbox".

Please go to Settings > Power & StartUp > Turn Xbox Off.

Unplug it from your power outlet, remove all the cables connected to it for a minute just to refresh the console's system software.

Press the Menu button > Settings > Network > Test Network/Multiplayer connection.

If it's all connected, download and sign into your gamertag and start a party chat, see if the same problem remains.

 

also Xbox support suggested a surge protector is not needed because one is built in and using one might cause problems.

Anyways hope this helps anyone with similar connection problems.
