    Party Chat


    Hi, I'm having an issue with the party chat system on Xbox One; error code 0x89231048. Now every time I start a party chat within the xbox system, I get the error code listed above along with a message saying that something went wrong and to try again later with an option to view my network settings. When I started having this issue two days ago, when I went to check my network status, there was a message that said there was a problem on xbox's side of things. Now it says that "UPnP not successful" (Universal Plug and Play). I'm hoping that this is still an error that is on Xbox because I have tried researching the exact error code and haven't found anything. I'm still able to play within online multiplayer games. I've tried restarting my system and restarting my router. Nothing has worked. I'll take any advice.

    Hi There,

    If you are in an Xbox Party chat and everyone leaves you will remain in the Party Chat as the host, you will need to manually leave the party chat .

    It's not meant to be "party chat" but "chat". Whether ingame or party. But the buttons are not switching between game or party chat, but to control the balance between game sounds and voice chat.

    I don't think that Phone users are allowed to make/join parties that why Microsoft implemented party chat where iPhone user can send they friend a party chat so that their friend can join through the message. to be able to use party chat you need to have
    a chat group with all your friends in it and send a party chat.

    By any chance are you trying to use it in party chat? With party chat, you need to go into it and physically turn on party chat for it to work. Hope this helps!

    FIX NEEDED. Game chat is not working in fortnite. xbox part chat works fine

    Join an Xbox party chat, go to options and switch to game chat. You can then leave the Xbox party and the fortnite party chat should work again
