    When I try join my one freind in a party it juat says that in connnecting then a black cross appears were the mic should be and then it leaves and gives me a error code but it lets me connect to other people and he can join if anyone besides me host the
    part and the strange thing is he is the closest to me And we can't connect to games like dying light it just says game session is unavailable please tell me if there is away to fix this

    Go in party chat whilst its snapped. Make sure 'turn party chat on/off' is switched on.

    Party Chat Not Working

    Hey all,

    Just signed up as I got my xbox one today. Loving it so far.

    However has anyone figured Party chat yet? I can start a party and join the chat, but no one else in that party can.

    additionally if i join a party I'm unable to join the chat and get the message "Party chat cannot be started at this time"

    Any Ideas?

    its got me absolutely stumped

    Hi There,

    If you are in an Xbox Party chat and everyone leaves you will remain in the Party Chat as the host, you will need to manually leave the party chat .

    It's not meant to be "party chat" but "chat". Whether ingame or party. But the buttons are not switching between game or party chat, but to control the balance between game sounds and voice chat.

    I don't think that Phone users are allowed to make/join parties that why Microsoft implemented party chat where iPhone user can send they friend a party chat so that their friend can join through the message. to be able to use party chat you need to have
    a chat group with all your friends in it and send a party chat.

    By any chance are you trying to use it in party chat? With party chat, you need to go into it and physically turn on party chat for it to work. Hope this helps!

    FIX NEEDED. Game chat is not working in fortnite. xbox part chat works fine

    Join an Xbox party chat, go to options and switch to game chat. You can then leave the Xbox party and the fortnite party chat should work again
