Party chat trouble.

Every time I get invited to a party or invite people to my party i cant hear what anyone is saying. They text me and tell me they can hear me. I tried to reset the xbox and my NAT is open. idk why it isnt working. I know its only me cuz my friends chats
work fine.

April Update Available for everyone, but missing two features

If someone is having trouble connecting to a party for some random reason, the party chat will automatically switch over to a dedicated server so that everyone can connect without issue.

hey all im having trouble with party chat, dunno which forum to use but When I join a pary i cant turn on party chat. we can talk in the game lobby so what am i doing wrong ? my mate was the same when i started the party. please help

 

I'm having this same issue, ive done every step possible and im talkin the big boy steps to port forward and prioritize my Xbox over computers in my house. My NAT type is at Strict right now but that's not the issue here. I have NEVER had a problem where
hard resetting or port forwarding and changing some router settings around hasn't fixed til now. My only guess is that a small % of their members have been affected by a bug from recovering their servers from the recent hit. Their work on getting the rest
of their services might have some impact but its says all core services are operational.

 

Yeah Im kind of hoping it has to do with the attacks cuz it started on Wednesdays thats right about when some people were having trouble getting on. My NAT is open and i know friedns can hear me its just that i cant hear them, but i can hear the game sound
through my headset. I dont have a router everything is wifi so idk how I would go about doing anything.

 

I actually JUST now fixed my problem, I factory reset my router and then had to re-configure my network map for my laptop, 2 xboxs and desktop again but now party chat works and my connection is actually stronger than it was before. Tech nowadays can be
weird sometimes i guess :/.

 

idk why but i can chat thruogh my kinect now but not through the headset still. at least i can talk though

 

I am now currently trying to connect with my friends but I cannot hear them while I am in the party. All my friends are also shown as offline when I know they are on as I called two of them to make sure.

I would like help in resolving this issue. I have restarted and turned everything off on my side to try and fix this issue but nothing seems to work. (at times I have problems hearing a friend and have to reset my xbox)

Since I have purchased this xbox one I have been having nothing but issues. I know some of these issues might belong elsewhere but I am really having problems. Over Christmas I had missed consecutive days of inactivity, not only not being able to connect
I could not play any of my games I have downloaded onto my console. My console has also been freezing when I go to watch tv then return to play a game. My controller was also sticking when I first got my console which has been less then a month ago. (does
not stick now but feel like it rubs against the inside of the controller, unlike the smoothness of the left trigger)

I have been using the xbox since the original before the 360. I have also purchased 2 360 consoles for my home over the years. I have had many problems with the 360 before, but for just purchased this console I have been very unhappy with the quality and
all around service.

 

I had the same problem with my friends bein shown as offline but for me I left it sit for like 5 minutes and then my friends would pop up.

definitely not wrong about the ps4 looking enticing. I made the wrong choice to switch to xbox one. Every time I try to talk to support I get booted or just the same bull about opening ports on the router something needs to be done since these issues aren't
isolated. The only explanation I can offer is Xbox support asked when I bought my system so it might be an issue there but they aren't telling.

 

On top of all this not working my headset decides to stop working....cousin came into town and have not called them as of yet but will be posting here when I do..... I also am starting to think they ignore threads and if not get better people for the job
like some good old fashion techsavy kids.....will clean the forums right up haha
