Party Chat Times Out

I notice that if I am in a "Party Chat", not a Game Chat session, my controller times out after several minutes - tested with multiple controllers while in a Party Chat and everyone is speaking and I'm able to hear everyone fine till the controller
turns off the chat.

Is there anyway to control this timeout OR can Microsoft add a setting that would disable this timeout?

I understand that one wants the controller to time out if not being used for battery conversation, but it is annoying to have to continue to turn the controller on, over and over again while in a "Party Chat".

Also in a recent forum post from Astro Gaming, their technical coordinator said the following about their A50 headset cycling off during Party Chat. Is it true that the controller port is Analogue?

The controller port is analogue which means it's subject to white noise or humming/buzzing which may confuse the headset and stop it from switching off. You may not be able to hear this but the headset monitors the slightest of sound and this can be picked
up as "audio". As most people will not be using the headset as a chat headset only, the decision was made to stop it monitoring the audio to provide a better experience to the user on saving battery life. The game side of the mixer is fully monitored which
includes the optical input and the AUX input, and the voice side of the mixer is only monitoring chat audio incoming from the USB cable.

Disconnecting from Party Chat.

Just a quick question about being disconnected from party chat.

When host a party chat or connect to a friend's party chat, I find that either the party gets split into two, I lag out of the party every few minutes, or my friends will lag out from time-to-time. Is there a reason for this? My NAT type is OPEN, as are
my friends'.

 

Parties, chats and game invites

Couldn't agree more , it's crap to be honest and when you join a party you then have to enable party chat , what's the point in that ?
They have over complicated the whole thing .
The amount of times yesterday people were texting and saying they "couldn't enable party chat" when they joined was crazy .
The whole invite system and chat needs looking into .
Set forza up yesterday and sent out the invites and no one in the game could hear voice until we left party chat then someone else set the party up.
Microsoft please sort this , there's no awards for over complicated party invites .
