    Party Chat prevention problem


    Hey guys, so i just turned on my xbox like normal today, joined my friends party and, in the party it keeps telling me that my privacy settings are preventing chat with some people. Telling me to change the settings, when i try to they are already set on
    what they should be but i still cant talk to anyone? This is so out of the blue, never happened before, i dont know what to do. Ive tried hard shutdown by the way. HELP

    Parties, chats and game invites

    You can stay in a party even if you're not playing the same game I believe. And when you join a party, it defaults to game chat, so if you want to chat with your party you need to turn party chat on (everyone who wants to party chat needs to do this). There are bugs at the moment preventing this connection sometimes, most of which are got around by starting parties outside of games and turning on party chat there. I got it working eventually.

    Problem is the party is a bit broken and buggy at the moment, so things that should work don't, and I hope people hold judgement until these are fixed. But I agree, there are bits that are clunky.

    Party Chat problem....

    I have no objections to other player talking to each other, however I do object to having to listen to them. On my Xbox 360 I was able to block this out using Preferences. Now that I have an Xbox One I cant seem to be able to do this. Does anyone Know
    of a way that it can be done.

    Sorry to hear about the party chat privacy troubles! Let's start about by removing your profile your Xbox One, followed by a power cycle (hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds until your Xbox One completely shuts down), and then add your profile back.

    You too huh? EVERY SINGLE PERSON on my friends list tell me they also have party chat problems. I also have these party chat problems. Most people I talk to in online games tell me they also have these party chat problems.

    The console is over a year old now and WE STILL HAVE THESE PARTY CHAT PROBLEMS!

    Audio Issue

    If you have them in a family account there may be restrictions in place that prevent party chats. You may want to check the online safety and privacy settings to make sure nothing is preventing them from talking to people.

    I do not want this. Party Chat, maybe, easier friend invites, no. It's counterproductive to the co-op of the game and would prevent people from having help as readily available.

    Do you mean your party chat session with someone disconnected or that you can't connect to party chat at all?

    If you can't connect to party chat at all please first make sure you have gold membership here:

    Gold is required for party chat.
