Party Chat Not Working

So when I connect with my friends in a party, they can all hear me but I can't hear them. I can hear them for like half a second before my mic picks up but once it does, silence. My NAT is open, all of their NATs are as well, network is fine, I can hear
sounds from everything else through my headset but not chat. Anyone else had this problem? The only way to fix it is to do a hard reset and unplug the system for a few seconds. I have to do this every time we switch games or parties and it is getting ridiculous.
Anyone have a fix?

Party chat not working

so far the only game where I can hear people talking is Battlefield 4. I cannot hear my friends or speak to them in party chat . This been a problem, I can see the green dot in under my account in party chat, however I don't see my friends green dot. Can
somebody help me out please.

I have the logitech G930 7.1 wireless headset and audio is fine, but I can't talk to anyone in my party nor can I hear them.

You may need to assign the controller to your profile in settings, kinect & devices, Devices & accessories. Then select your controller and make sure it is assigned to your gamertag. Then try to see if you can hear them in party chat.

My friend on Xbox had a similar problem and this is what he did in order to fix it. Hope this works for you! Let us know.

 

As a follow up, what I previously mentioned may not work as I just found out that it was a slightly different issue that my friend was facing.

Here is some additional things to try:

Switch to game chat, and then back to party chat.

Try a different controller with your headset, or try a different adapter.

If your games and apps are all installed on an external drive then you may want to consider resetting to factory defaults.

Lastly double check that all the required ports are open in your routers settings, make sure you disable Upnp when port forwarding or if you are not port forwarding then re-enabling Upnp by turning it off and on will refresh you NAT table.

I have done all of these in the past but none of them helped. Now unplugging my system isn't working anymore.
