party chat not working on with xbox or windows?

my friend and I were trying to play gears 2 on my end i'm talking he is talking bubbles are pulsing I can hear him he cant hear me but my mic is showing up in the overlay that im talking im not coming through his tv or headset

Party chat on Windows/Xbox App still works. An alternative is the Xbox game bar Party.

To bring up the Xbox game bar, Hold the Windows button and Press "G"

From there you will be able to initiate a Party and Much more!

I have had this happen. Is the controller plugged in while it was being used? If So I unplugged it and then everyone could hear fine. If that's not the case, then sometimes you just need to turn your controller off and back On an in most
cases It has worked fine for me.

it is plugged into the battery pack not the actual controller

thanks we will look into this we played gears 1 fine 2 was we just started after a break then this issue happen we had no changes before
