Party chat not working, NAT is Open

Interesting, try the follow steps to see if that helps out. There is a bit of NAT troubleshooting included, which I'm sure you may have gone over already, but I encourage you to try those out again since you have a different gateway.

• Restart your console by going to Settings > Power & Startup > Restart Now
  
• Follow each the steps on our Troubleshoot parties on Xbox One support page.
  
• Follow the steps on our NAT troubleshooter.
  
• Pass these steps to your friends that you are trying to connect with.
• Try out a wired connection directly to your modem

Try each of those and post back the results!

 

Tried all of those now, no luck!

getting frustrated now as lots of people want to use the party chat over the game chat.

This used to work when I bought the xbox fine, just stopped working after a patch several months ago and hasn't worked since.

If I factory reset the xboz will it lose purchased content?

Seen a post where this fixed it for someone. thought I would give it a try but only if I don't lose purchased content

 

We are having the same issue. We have 2 xbox ones in the same house. Open Nat with Dlink router and repeater. Can't play co-op games with each other and can't party chat with each other. Nothing wrong with my router because we play another game with party
chat on 2 different xbox 360s within the same house on the same network and everything works fine. These xbox ones are becoming really bad.

That is definitely worth a try! Any content you have purchased can be downloaded right from the Xbox Store as long as you are using the gamertag the content was purchased with. Keep in mind that restoring your Xbox One console will remove all data from the
console. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console is regularly connected with the Xbox Live service, then the console will synchronize regularly!

I was waiting to hear if anything came from this before trying the reset as I don't want to spend days downloading all the content again.

did the factory reset, the only change is I now see a connecting message with a timer and then a cross.

Still can connect or hear anyone.

 

Sorry to hear the issue is persisting! The cross on party chat is an indication that there is indeed network limitations. My first recommendation is to try connecting to party chat on a different network to see if this is true.

If you have a friend or family member's network you can try, that will really help us narrow down the issue. If it works on a different network, you may want to try a standalone modem and a standalone router that are guaranteed to work without known issues
rather than a gateway.
