Party Chat no longer works to block out game chat

As someone who loves to regually live-stream PVZ: Garden Warfare, I use party chat a lot simply just to block out game chat, so my viewers can hear me without me disrupting the other players in the game with my random talking.

I load up the party app, select "invite friends" then close the app without inviting anyone and this leaves the game chat, by having me in my own party.

The latest update no longer works this way, if im in a party on my own, Im still in the game chat UNLESS I have it snapped instead of closed.

I do not have a large enough TV to play properly with something snapped (32 inch).

Since the update I sadly cannot justify streaming PVZ: Garden Warfare (if im not talking, its unfair on my viewers, if I am talking its unfair on the other players.) which is a real shame as I got over half of my followers while playing that game.

Anyone know if this is a bug from the latest update? or know another way around this?

My headset was working for both game sound and party chat now not working for game sound and only shows settings for party chat

 

Connections (possibly host) and their speeds

Report and block player. Change passwords. They are trying to hack you. Do not go into a party chat with them.

 

G'day hazed! It seems like in-game chat should be muted as long as you're in a party. Let's try a

power cycle to see if it helps clear up this issue.

If that doesn't change anything, then a workaround is still possible:

Mute the players in-game so you don't hear them. They can mute you if your chatter is distracting; it may be nice to let them know what you'll be doing before the game starts.

Let us know the results. I'm going to look into this a little further here too.
