Discus and support party chat/message issues in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; if my ban is over then why does it say that my privacy settings block party chat when my settings are ok.     Yep , had to use Skype in the background for friend chat whilst gaming.

    Hey all,

    Just signed up as I got my xbox one today. Loving it so far.

    However has anyone figured Party chat yet? I can start a party and join the chat, but no one else in that party can.

    additionally if i join a party I'm unable to join the chat and get the message "Party chat cannot be started at this time"

    Any Ideas?

    its got me absolutely stumped

    ok, I have tried these steps, but they haven't solved, I do have to mention It also takes a long time before it loads my dashboard, it says error retrieving content where I get the adds in the bottom left corner, updates, subscriptions store, mixer, community
    all take a while to load, or don't load at all.

    Thanks for your update. If a soft factory reset did not help resolve the issue, try an

    Offline System Update    . The OSU should resolve any issues with the console's operating system by loading the latest and most stable version.

    I have tried the soft factory reset, I missed the part where it said, keep games and apps..., saidly the problems remain, thanks for the help though.
