Party/chat issues

my friend and I recently purchased destiny.

no in the past we have been able to stay connected in Xbox live parties for long durations of time without connection issues. No hardware has changed and everything is the same as the past when we didn't have problems. Now every 20-30 minutes in a party
or private chat we get disconnected. We are unable to join parties or private chat with each other after that for 10 minutes, then it will let us.

Whag hat has changed? How can we fix this?

Yep , had to use Skype in the background for friend chat whilst gaming.

I've been using my tritons for sound and using kinetic for chat with my mates , if u snap party chat then turn it on , it works fine get the voices and sound through headphones just use kinetic for chat till adapter or new headphones arrive , we thought it worked fine on cod

Sorry to hear about the connection issue! I have some questions before we begin troubleshooting.

1. Do you and your friend have the same ISP and live in the same city?
2. Are you experiencing this issue with other friends?
3. Could you provide us with the make and model numbers of both your router and modem?

We do not live in the same city. We live about 75 miles away from each other in California.

Only issue like this is with this 1 friend, no one else.

I have a netgear CMD31T cable modem with a netgear WGR614v10 wireless router.

He has a technicolor tc8305c modem and wireless combo.

 

The problem may be on your buddies side as there are known issues with the Technicolor gateway he owns. I recommend having him check out a

similar thread for possible workarounds and steps, but unfortunately the issue is due to a firmware update on that gateway. Contacting his ISP would also be highly recommended.
