Party Chat Issues

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing any issues with party chat today?

I have opened up Party Chat and invited a friend in. I can hear him perfectly, but he can't hear me.

On my console you can hear it recognising me speak but on his it stays faded.

We've both followed all tutorials and no one has been blocked or muted.

Please help its driving me insane,

Yep , had to use Skype in the background for friend chat whilst gaming.

I've been using my tritons for sound and using kinetic for chat with my mates , if u snap party chat then turn it on , it works fine get the voices and sound through headphones just use kinetic for chat till adapter or new headphones arrive , we thought it worked fine on cod

 

First suggestion: could he restart his controller, and then go to the Home screen, click on the profile pic in the upper left and select 'choose this person' on his own profile?

If that does not work, can he try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) his console? Then sign in using the controller again, as described above,
rather than letting Kinect do it automatically.

Other details: is he using Kinect or a headset for chat (if headset, which one?) and is the controller plugged in via USB or totally wireless when the problems occur?
